Ashley Livitz, LCSW

Ashley Livitz, LCSW, has always been passionate about helping others help themselves. Ashley earned her Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. She made her way to NYC to further her training and obtained her Masters in Social Work at New York University. She has experience working with clients with neurological, psychological, and developmental disorders in a variety of outpatient and inpatient settings. Her field learning background is comprehensive and includes individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention. Ashley has sought to immerse herself within diverse communities to develop a better understanding of cultural, social, and personal development. Ashley’s empathic and warm nature helps foster a positive and fulfilling client-therapist relationship, while empowering her clients to create meaningful change in both their relationships and lives.

Ashley uses her creativity and warmth to meet the social-emotional needs of others. She is communicative and personable, with a strong understanding of the power of person-centered care. With comprehensive training in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, Ashley supports clients in identifying thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may no longer serve them. In addition, she incorporates Parenting Work to strengthen family relationships and foster healthier dynamics.

As a therapist, Ashley is committed to providing personalized care that meets the individual needs of each client. Her practice is focused on creating a safe, collaborative, and empowering environment that encourages clients to show up as their authentic selves. Her goal is to help clients identify their strengths and develop practical coping skills to navigate life’s daily stressors and overcome the greater obstacles. Ashley recognizes therapy as a powerful tool in helping clients gain self-awareness and ultimately make positive changes in their lives.
