Emily Arnstein, PsyD
Emily Arnstein, PsyD is a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in Manhattan. She has extensive experience providing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to children, adolescents, and young adults struggling with a wide array of presenting concerns including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, executive functioning weaknesses, interpersonal conflicts, and trauma-related disorders. Dr. Arnstein also has a great deal of experience working with parents to teach behavioral management techniques and to support parents who are struggling in the parent-child dynamic.
Dr. Arnstein received her Psy.D in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (the Chicago campus). She received a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from the University of Michigan and graduated from the Literature, Science, and Arts honors program. Dr. Arnstein has worked in a variety of settings and has experience working in private schools, both in New York City and Chicago, community mental health centers, a hospital, and a children’s advocacy center.
Dr. Arnstein previously served as a volunteer Adjunct Supervisor at Pace University for doctoral level psychology students. Dr. Arnstein is also an active member of the American Psychological Association. Additionally, Dr. Arnstein has given presentations on a variety of topics to a wide range of audiences including, parents, schools, and camp administrators.
Dr. Arnstein is committed to helping clients identify their personal strengths and form positive and healthy connections with different people in their lives. It is the client who guides the therapeutic relationship, and Dr. Arnstein tailors her approach to best meet the clients’ needs.
